Architecture Research - Farnsworth House

Architect: Ludwig Mies van der Rohe

Screenshot(s) of website layout

The layout: The background uses just one colour - grey. This makes the background simple, which helps brings out the information/pictures in the middle which is meant to be the attractive part of the website. As it is seen, the grey background sinks to the back whilst the white in the middle makes everything else stand out.

The title is on top of a black strip which helps differ it from the rest of the pictures/information.
With the picture being at the top (underneath the title), it draws the attention of the viewer first, then leads the eye down to the information.

The information isn't in any particularly sharp colour. But it stands out quite nicely but doesn't overtake the pictures. Although there is a lot of text, it isn't hard to read the information because they're aligned nicely and neatly so it doesn't confuse the reader, this is also helped by the three columns the information's put into.
